Jolliffe

Pete Jolliffe is a UK based drum and bass producer living in North-East London. With a varied musical career to boast, he decided in 2019 to step out from behind the scenes of the industry and set about putting a string of releases into the world. As a producer he enjoys working with retrospective production techniques and his innate ability to produce neck-snappingly crisp drums shines through. His heavy use of field recorders/recordings and modular synthesisers influence the sub driven lo-fi sound of his arrangements.

Having released both under his solo alias, collaborating with the likes of Linguistics, Coppa & Pastry Maker, he also works with a hard-edged power trio aptly named Clashtone - comprised of long-time friend and colleague Tony ‘Terror’ Friend and Eatbrain bossman Jade.

His compositions are, in his own words, ‘affected by the mood of the world and the shifting of the seasons’ and are ‘steeped in emotional darkness’. Having spent years working alongside some of the most established and respected artists in the music industry, it’s time he put his own take on 170bpm out into the world. Released on: Soulvent, RSTLSNSS and Right Good Records.
