Lally
Fast becoming a recognised name within the realms of dance music, up-and-coming DJ and producer Lally is amongst the wave of fresh talent currently coursing through the scene. Though relatively new to the drum & bass circuit, Lally has been honing his skills as a musician over the past few years with his soul-infused productions and carefully curated DJ sets.
A turning point and moment of accreditation for Lally was being invited down to the Rinse FM studios when he was just 17 to put together a guest mix for the legendary electronic music tastemaker Oneman who frequently championed some of Lally’s earliest productions. From there onwards Lally began playing sets up and down the country, spanning some prestigious locations including London’s Ministry of Sound and Brixton Jamm, Wire in Leeds, The Forum in Hatfield and Reading’s 3sixty. From his day one sets to now, Lally has supported the likes of Hybrid Minds, Shy FX, S.P.Y, Flava D, Randall, DJ Hazard and more.
With his first official label release ‘All The Time’ landing on Soulvent Records in 2021 seeing support from liquid-funk legends including Makoto and BCee, Lally has since had a two-track release on Archway Records ‘Who We Are / Take Me’ which garnered the approval from jungle pioneer Doc Scott as well as Flava D who included it in her DNB60 mix on BBC Radio 1, as well as two releases on the infamous imprint Hospital Records. ‘Hustlin’’ was the first to be released on the south London label as part of their ‘Future Symptoms Vol. 2’ VA EP release, and was selected by the one and only LSB to be included in his Space Age mix series alongside microphone champion DRS, alongside receiving plays from the likes of Etherwood and Hugh Hardie. More recently, Lally has teamed up with top-tier selector Lens on his first ever collaborative production ‘Love The Way’, which is out now as part of Lens’ self-selected ‘Hospital Mixtape’ LP and has already received spins from René LaVice on BBC Radio 1 and Fred V & Mollie Collins on Kiss FM.
The future looks bright for Lally, with his forthcoming 4-tracker - the ‘Blue Razz Lemonade’ EP set to land on Soulvent in September later this year, featuring collaborations with Finnish-producers Askel & Elere alongside Milton Keynes vocalist Reico Vibes.
